The client had a song meant as an anthem for the USA team at the World Cup, and a loose script for what happens in it. The ask was an animated music video with the polished look of a big animated feature, the kind families go to see. The catch was tempo. The song sits low, a slow song wants a slow cut, and a slow cut gets boring fast. Keeping the film alive at that pace was the whole job.
